Congratulations on making the decision to build with Sherbrooke. The design of your home or extension plays a vital role in the entire construction process. The design you decide on reflects your personality, your tastes and your lifestyle.
It is crucial that you are 100% happy with the design, before any further steps are taken. Here is a brief overview of the easy step by step design process we will enjoy together in realising your dream home:
Step 1
You will meet with one of our Project Designers to discuss your needs, your wishes, the ‘look’ you want to achieve and your budget. Use this time to personalize your project, tell us your goals, show us pictures you may have collected along the way of homes you like and brainstorm your ideas with us. A concept plan will be discussed in line with your proposed budget.
Step 2
A site survey will be undertaken to ensure the design complies with all relevant council and statutory requirements. Again you will meet with our Project Designer to review and discuss the completed design.
Step 3
Once the design is approved by you, we will arrange for preliminary specifications and fixed price documents to be prepared.
Step 4
Upon your approval the next phase involves preparing working documents which include building, engineering and town planning plans, soil reports and final contract specifications.
Step 5
Once you are satisfied with all of the relevant documents you will be presented with a copy of the ‘Plain English’ Housing Industry Association Standard Building Contract’ for your review.
Step 6
When all contracts are signed and we have received your deposit you will receive from us in writing a fixed completion date, a home owners warranty guarantee, access to our dedicated maintenance division and become a member of our VIP rewards program.
Step 7
A Sherbrooke Construction Manager will meet with you on site to discuss a start date. The construction manager will work with you at every phase of this exciting journey to make sure you are completely satisfied.
